Pleading

LINE OF ACTION: Eye line on this expression is the main thrust. When someone is put in the position of pleading or begging, they move to a subservient stance and are looking up in most instances. A pouty, sad mouth is the final piece of the puzzle. Subtle additions can creep in like furrowed or raised brows to push the emotion and beg with the eyes.

DEFINITION: To make an earnest or urgent request. To appeal earnestly; beg: plead for more time. To offer reasons for or against something; argue earnestly: plead against a bill. To provide an argument or appeal: Your youth pleads for you in this instance. To ask for as charity: begged money while sitting in a doorway. To ask earnestly for or of; entreat: begged me for help.
