OTTO è un video nato con l'intento di trattare in maniera metaforica e astratta la ciclicità degli eventi, che spesso vedono invertire le parti dei protagonisti in causa.

OTTO is a video created with the intention to talk in a metaphorical and abstract way about the natural circle of events, which often switches the rules of the characters involved.

Denise : a Supinfocom graduation movie, coming in 2014

Denise is the story of an obese young woman, going on a hiking trip to Easter Island. Despite her little ‘problem’ (she has trouble moving around, is easily exhausted, etc), she decides to walk through the island, and enjoy its beautiful landscapes and mysterious statues. Denise is a journey towards self acceptance and achievement.

From Blog: Hey guys ! I realized recently that I kept telling you that I had a lot of work on my graduation project, but I never talked about it here on tumblr ! So here we are, Denise… I wrote the first script on my own almost 2 years ago, as well as the first concepts. Then, I had the chance to work with the best classmates I could ever wish for, so we’re now 6 working on Denise, co-directing it and trying to make the movie as beautiful and moving as possible !

So yeah, the original idea was by yours truly, and because of it, I’m the lead director, but I’m also in charge of all the visual development and concepts annnd.. lead lighting artist.  Yup. total dictatorship going on here !

This movie will be done entirely in cg, with Autodesk Maya, but we’re trying to stick with the 2D look of the concepts I did ! And let me tell you it’s definitely a challenge >.< !

MIDDLE SCHOOL - Exploring Rafe's Mind Featurette

That's my co-author at :36 in, Jamie Oliff, at Duncan Studio!

Making of Middle School . A real image film that combines animation 2d when we get into the head of the teenager. The animation is made Duncan Studio and have participated grandísimos Spanish artists Borja Montoro, Joseph Mansuy and Juan Pablo Navas .

Rafe has an epic imagination…and a slight problem with authority. Both collide when he transfers to an oppressive, rule-crazy middle school. Drowning in do’s and don’ts, Rafe and his scheming best friend Leo hatch a plan to break every rule in the school’s Code of Conduct. It’s Ferris Bueller meets Home Alone as their battle with Principal Dwight explodes into chaos both real and imagined. But Dwight displays his own fiendish creativity, striking back at the rulebreakers. Meanwhile, Rafe struggles to hide his misbehavior from Jeanne, the straight-A, overachieving girl of his dreams, and at home, his mother’s boyfriend — a moochy, jack-of-no-trades named Bear — threatens to become his stepfather.

LOAD from “Load” – Short film on Vimeo.

How do we perceive our past? Do we need it to acknowledge our own existence? Do we needlessly carry it as a burden on our shoulders? Should we guard it even at the cost of our own future? What would we give up to survive?
Why is it so hard to let go?

LOAD is an award winning animated short film and the filmmaker’s journey to seek answers for these questions.

The Little Prince - Trailer

In a strange turn of events for The Little Prince, Paramount has dropped the CG, stop-motion animated film one week before its scheduled U.S. release on March 18.
Director Mark Osborne confirmed the news in a statement on Twitter: “Many thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support in these strange times. As it turns out, the much anticipated U.S. release of this special and unique film will have to be anticipated just a little bit more.”

He continued, “All I can say is [The Little Prince] will in fact be released by another distributor later this year. Until then, head to Canada! The film opens there in wide release this weekend!”

Paramount did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

The Little Prince is an adaptation of the 1943 children’s book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The story follows a pilot who meets a young boy while stranded in the desert, and the film features both CG and stop-motion animation. Watch the trailer below.

1 on 1 Animation Kickstarter

1 on 1 Animation

Located in Van Nuys, California

My good friends Wayne and Mike have a Kickstarter to start a traditional animation school! Won't you support their effort? This is just what most newbie animators need and it is an "in-person hands-on" workshop!

Our goal at 1 on 1 Animation is to produce animators at a professional level. In a nutshell, that's IT.  That's what it all boils down to. Upon completion of the necessary classes, we want our students to be able to enter the animation industry and apply everything they have learned in order to animate confidently in any medium of animation. Be it computers, hand-drawn, stop-motion, or cut-outs. Our teaching method is as customized to your needs as we can make it, hence our name, 1 on 1 Animation. We have worked at various studios from Disney Feature Animation to Nickelodeon and Warner Brothers and many, many more. We want to pass on the fundamentals of animation that uencompass ALL forms of animated projects from E-cards to the film and gaming industries. We are an in-house school giving "1 on 1" attention.
