TRAILER | The Great British Bake Off

This trailer for the new season of The Great British Bake Off was made in-camera using real baking ingredients. The piece was created by Parabella, the London studio founded by Mikey Please and Daniel Ojari. They worked with a team of bakers, who used 500 eggs, 110 pounds of flour, and 62 pounds of sugar to make the characters for this ‘bake-mation’ short.

SALVATION

Noah Harris and Andy Biddle take us on a voyage through time, exploring the virtues and vices of mankind in this mesmerising series for record label, Village Green.

This surreal sequence of interconnecting films tells the epic story of evolution playfully through the detritus of mankind. The birth of a planet in ELEMENT, the growth of the human race in SENTIENCE, and its descent towards the inevitable in OBLIVION, are all created from a multitude of found objects salvaged from car-boot sales and flea markets around london. Animated entirely in camera, the films are a showcase of Noah’s unwavering attention to detail and love of physical objects.

Premiering as part of Channel 4’s Random Acts, the Salvation series is a collaboration between Blinkink & Village Green and showcases highlights from the label’s 2017 catalogue.

**Winner of Worldfest Huston International Film Festival 2017**
"Travelling Through Brush and Ink" is a stop-motion animation of a little modern man traveling through four significant ancient Chinese paintings, transforming himself into animals and plants, and becomes part of the nature. Each painting represents four important stages of landscape art in Chinese history. Based on the original paintings, we built the sets and animated little character inside- all frame by frame. The animation is the opening film of 2016 annual exhibition National Palace Museum Taiwan.

LittleLungs - Birthday

Directed by Peter Sluszka and created for the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products' "The Real Cost" campaign by FCB New York, the tobacco-tinged "Little Lungs" appears in a series of digital videos, breaking today, in which his attempts to be cool and join in with normal teen life (and his healthy pink lung friends) are thwarted by his stunted growth, caused by smoking.

The campaign is designed to resonate with a teen audience and target them within digital environments such as YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram. Specifically, the campaign focuses on reaching at-risk teens, who live a more chaotic lifestyle and suffer from lower socioeconomic and educational levels making them more stressed out than their peers.

Directing duo Karni and Saul. Male and female also partners in crime and life.

We have been working together since 2002, merging an atmospheric photographic style

with fantastical animated elements. We like to call it Casual Fantasy.

Sulkybunny is a boutique production company specialising in unique looking mix of live action and CG animation.  We produce Music Promos, Commercials and short films.

We were nominated for a BAFTA, with our first short film "Turning”  (BBC, Lighthouse and Creative England), which then went on to feature at festivals worldwide winning at least three.

Our second short film “Flytopia” (Film4, Creative England) based on a dark fantastical Will Self story, Score by Adrian Utley,  toured the film festival circuit winning a few.  Very buzzZZZY and itchy.

Our Music promo "Float" Won The  Annecy Animation Festival and the British Animation Awards.

"Winter Trees" our promo for the talented Staves, has picked up Best Promo in Encounters Film Festival and featured in many others.

We love top shots, cross sections, weird animation & fantasy, hybrid animals, Edward Gorey, Frida Khalo, Pina Bausch, Tom Waits, Woody Allen, French films, Polish animation, warm and funny people. We are slight hypochondriacs but make up for it with our charming fabulous personalities.

The Little Prince - Trailer

In a strange turn of events for The Little Prince, Paramount has dropped the CG, stop-motion animated film one week before its scheduled U.S. release on March 18.
Director Mark Osborne confirmed the news in a statement on Twitter: “Many thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support in these strange times. As it turns out, the much anticipated U.S. release of this special and unique film will have to be anticipated just a little bit more.”

He continued, “All I can say is [The Little Prince] will in fact be released by another distributor later this year. Until then, head to Canada! The film opens there in wide release this weekend!”

Paramount did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

The Little Prince is an adaptation of the 1943 children’s book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The story follows a pilot who meets a young boy while stranded in the desert, and the film features both CG and stop-motion animation. Watch the trailer below.
