My good friend Dave Zaboski and his partner Mike Hately are teaching their “Big Idea” class again at UCLA. I attended this class last year and brought a couple friends along, as well.

You see, most every person I know in animation has some sort of creative venture they are working on that either has to do with animation or not. Some business or way to make money off their interest and creative skills. My friends Nial and Anthea have Solid Cables they started and they went to this class with me last year. My buddy Scott is starting a shirt line. Another animator buddy Ido has started a clothing line with his wife. Animator Jay McDade and his girlfriend just opened a clothing store. Jamie and I have a few surprises up our sleeves too! My point is, if you have any ideas about a possible creative venture? Then this is the class to take. They deal with a new way to approach business plans, how to get unstuck when you hit a wall creatively and since both Mike and Dave are successful artists, they have created a positive and visual way to look at obstacles when you start a new creative venture. I highly recommend this class. ~Angie
