LINE OF ACTION: A dare expression is a mix of contempt and brave. A daring expression has the intensity of the brave gaze and stern brow, but will reveal contempt for the opponent through a compression of the lips and furrow in the brow. The face turns into an intimidating shield of sorts. If the "daring person" also has doubt his opponent can attack successfully...a little bit of a smirk might also creep into the expression in a mocking manner.
DEFINITION: To dare is to confront or oppose boldly. A call to engage in a contest, fight, or competition: a challenge to a duel. An act or statement of defiance; a call to confrontation: a challenge to the government's authority. A demand for explanation or justification; a calling into question: a challenge to a theory. Audacious bravery; boldness. Taking or willing to take risks: adventuresome, adventurous, audacious, bold, daredevil, enterprising, venturesome, venturous.
