Pride

LINE OF ACTION: The expression of pride sends out visual cues of raised but relaxed brows and a sleepy eye looking down at the viewer. It's like I am sop important I can't even muster the energy to open my eyes to see you. Conceit is underlying this emotion in faint ways. Unlike stubborn, the brow has a very relaxed pose because the character is not feeling threatened. The mouth is relaxed but chin will be raised a bit. Pride can have an indignant air to it or be more pure with a smile.

DEFINITION: Pride is the cultivation, preservation or exalting of self. It is a protecting of self. It is building up ourselves in our own eyes or in the eyes of others. Pride is an excessive belief in one's superiority, worth, merit. Pride is a root cause of many sins. Pride could be defined as "a feeling of self-respect and personal worth; satisfaction with your (or another's) achievements; or the trait of being spurred on by a dislike of falling below your standards; or a group of lions; or unreasonable and inordinate self-esteem (personified as one of the deadly sins).
