Questioning

LINE OF ACTION: Questioning has similarities to the expression doubt, but the difference is - questioning KNOWS there is an answer. In questioning, the character is not searching in their skull for the answer. Instead, they are searching YOU for the answer. So the raised eyebrow is the first visual cue mixed with the mouth moving to the side. It's almost as if the face is getting out of the way to let the answer "in."

DEFINITION: Perplexed (as if being expected to know something that you do not know); "he had a quizzical expression. "Doubting: marked by or given to doubt; "a skeptical attitude"; "a skeptical listener." A request for information. inquisitive: showing curiosity; "if someone saw a man climbing a light post they might get inquisitive"; "raised a speculative eyebrow"
