During the initial phase of this 11-week workshop, participants will focus on enhancing advanced body mechanics, including overlapping actions and pantomime acting. This segment aims to strengthen participants' ability to convey nuanced movements and actions without dialogue. In the latter part of the workshop, attention will shift to mastering intense physical action shots involving weight shifts, pushes, pulls, and lifts. Participants will also work on seamlessly integrating their animation across cuts to ensure continuity and believability in their performances.
During the initial phase of this 11-week workshop, our focus will be on refining and perfecting close-up facial acting and lip-sync techniques. We aim to elevate our performances by emphasizing authenticity and sincerity in our acting choices, thus enhancing overall believability and appeal. In the latter part of the workshop, we will transition to refining body mechanics in a contrasting shot from the first phase. This shift will enable participants to control and fine-tune their body language to complement, rather than overshadow, their facial acting. Emphasis will be placed on achieving a harmonious balance between facial expressions and body movements to convey character emotions and intentions effectively.
Over the first half of this 11-week workshop, we will focus on refining full-body acting and lip-sync techniques to ensure clear and compelling performances. Participants will learn to select gestures and movements that align with the character's emotional state, enhancing overall storytelling. In the latter part of the workshop, participants will select an audio clip that contrasts with the material covered in the first phase. This segment will further refine and polish body mechanics to complement and enhance the character's facial expressions. The goal is to seamlessly integrate full-body movements and facial performances for maximum impact.
